The Enterprise of Mississippi is an economic development partnership between the counties of Choctaw and Webster in north central Mississippi. These two counties are full of natural resources and beauty, including Choctaw Lake, Whites Creek Lake and the Natchez Trace Parkway. Our residents make the most of our natural resources through work and play. This area of the state has a rich history in the timber, agriculture, coal and manufacturing industries. Choctaw County is home to a lignite power plant and two natural gas plants, which supply power to multiple utilities in and outside of our state making Choctaw County the “Energy Capital of Mississippi.”
The Enterprise is just a short drive away from Mississippi State University, one of the nation’s leading research universities. We’ve recently welcomed two new industrial tenants in the past year, creating 50 jobs. We are committed to growing our local industries and welcoming new businesses into the region.
