There are a number of things that you need to do before you’re ready to open a business. First, you need to consider if your idea is feasible or worth doing. How you are going to run the business and get customers in the door? How are you going to finance your business and where do you get all the proper paper work? Below are many of the resources you will need to get started.

Financing a small business is perhaps one of the biggest challenges to starting a new business. The Small Business Administration and Golden Triangle Planning and Development District are great resources to utilize to better understand business financing and to possibly obtain financing.

The Chamber is your advocate for starting a business. We are here to help our Chamber members work through what they need to do to get started and to be successful.
Marketing. As a Chamber member, we can help promote your presence using social media. The Chamber also has numerous promotions and events throughout the year where you can market your business.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies. When you’re finally ready to open your doors we are ready to help you celebrate in a big way. We provide the ribbon, giant scissors, newspaper article (this item is at the discretion of the newspaper), and social media blasts.
